EMC CPD Online: What Does a Great KS3 Curriculum Look Like? (Twilight 3.2.22)

Course content

This course is a celebration of KS3 English as a place for creative exploration, authentic student engagement with texts, and the building of English skills that are true to the subject we all know and love. If you want to create a classroom culture or curriculum that is high on appreciation, big ideas and enjoyment, then there will be much for you to get your teeth into!

Key questions we will explore are:

  • What does a ‘big ideas’ curriculum look like?
  • How can I create the conditions for deep thinking and personal response?
  • What is a powerful reading culture, and how can I get one?
