'My Language – Influences and Attitudes' is a 26-page photocopiable download encouraging students to think about their own language and how it creates a sense of identity and belonging. It uses students' investigations into their own language as a context for learning about accent, dialect, Received Pronunciation and Standard English. It offers opportunities to experiment creatively with language; find out more about how we use language and communicate; and explore how our language contributes to our identities as individuals and members of groups and communities.
