Arctic Adventure - Real World Contexts for Talk and Writing (Download)

Using authentic video material, images and blogs from the Catlin Arctic Survey as a stimulus, Arctic Adventure provides an engaging context for a range of exciting creative writing and speaking and listening activities. Activities include:

• Creative reading and writing tasks – winning a place on the team, a survival diet Masterchef-style, a final email
• Letter writing, blogging, scripting a video report
• Role-playing a radio interview
• Dilemmas and emergency scenarios to provoke discussion and debate
• A final presentation.

Important information on accessing your download publication

• As soon as you have placed your order, your download publication will be available to download in your account. This publication includes a PDF and zipped folder of video clips (in .flv format). These can be played with the free VLC Player available to download here.
• Please note: the zipped folder of video clips is large. It will take some time to download.
